A Commercial Septic Tank Permit is required for new construction of a business with a septic system.

Cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, money order, cashier’s checks, and business checks are accepted at all locations except Laughlin. At the Laughlin location cash is not accepted.

1. One set of building plans which shall include floor plans showing all plumbing fixtures (actual and proposed) which will connect to the septic system.
   • This shall include the calculation sheet showing total fixture breakdown (actual and proposed) and the method of calculating the liquid capacity of the septic tank as per health district Regulations Governing Individual Sewage Disposal Systems, Section 2.3 and Tables II & III. PDF 1MB
   • If more than one method of calculation is possible, then each method must be made and submitted for review. The septic system will be designed for the larger of these calculations.
2. Legal description, Tax Assessor’s parcel number and copy of recorded deed for the property.
3. A Plot and Grading Plan, prepared by a registered engineer, showing:
   • Lot lines, including dimensions
   • All structures, proposed, actual, and temporary (with exception of construction shacks)
   • Driveway, parking lots and bumpers (if applicable)
   • Location of well and/or neighboring wells (if applicable)
   • Water lines, mains, and fire hydrants
   • Watercourses, (wash, flood control channel, etc.)
   • Street name(s) and directional arrow
   • Septic tank and leach field location, including leach field dimensions and leach lines
   • Distances from septic system to well, property line, structures, etc.
   • Depth to water table and bedrock
   • Barriers preventing vehicular traffic over the septic system
   • Invert elevations for piping related to sewage disposal
   • Mechanical plumbing plans for condensate waste lines/evaporative cooler overflow lines to the septic system through indirect drain and interceptor
4. A minimum of one soil borings and two percolation tests, taken by a registered engineer, architect or surveyor at the location of the proposed leach field site.
5. A statement from the registered engineer regarding the location of the property in relationship to the 50-year flood plain.
6. Water:
   • If property is served by municipal water, a “will-serve” letter from the water utility is required.
   • If property is served by commercial well, the permit number and a copy of the Well Driller’s Log is required.
7. If property has been divided by parcel map, provide copy of recorded parcel map.
8. Additional information may be required and will be determined on an individual basis.
