Emergency Equipment Replacement
The emergency equipment replacement procedure is followed when immediate replacement of equipment is required and cannot wait for plan review and approval prior to replacement. An emergency equipment replacement may be required if equipment failure or removal results in an inoperable recirculation system, or if plumbing leaks occur that may immediately compromise the structure of an aquatic venue or surrounding areas. Routine or planned equipment repair or replacement is not considered an emergency equipment replacement.
- A licensed contractor or design professional must apply for a Non-Substantial Alteration (remodel) within one business day of the date of the emergency equipment replacement
- The Emergency Equipment Replacement form c-health-program/program-plan-review/minomust be completed and emailed to aquatic@snhd.org with the non-substantial alteration application
- If submitted in accordance with the instructions contained in the Emergency Equipment Replacement form, there are no additional fees associated with an emergency equipment replacement
- Note that failure to submit the emergency equipment replacement form within the acceptable timeframe will result in late/after-the-fact plan review fees
- There is no expedited review process for emergency equipment replacements
- If the plan reviewer determines that the replacement equipment is not approvable during the review, a revised application must be submitted and revision fees will be assessed
The aquatic venue must remain closed until the final remodel inspection is conducted and approval to operate is granted
