LAS VEGAS — This week, the Southern Nevada Health District is reporting 8,421 Clark County residents have died from COVID-19, an increase of 66. Health District staff have been performing and ongoing data review which includes performing a data linkage between cases reported in the system and death certificate data. As a result of this review, 85 deaths were added to the Health District’s report — 71 from the review process, and 19 were removed. The breakdown of the backlog by date of death is included below:

As of April 25, a total of 509,537 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Clark County an increase of 3,863 from April 18. Of these cases, 2,656 are a result of delayed reporting and date back more than 15 days.
