| WHAT: | A briefing of the 2016 Nevada County Health Rankings. The County Health Rankings are released by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) and the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI). |

| WHY: | The County Health Rankings measure the health of nearly all counties in the nation and rank them within states. The Rankings are compiled using county-level measures from a variety of national and state data sources and then standardized using scientifically–informed weights. The Rankings serve as a call to action by allowing communities to better understand the health issues in their communities and by mobilizing stakeholders to improve the health of their communities. |
