Health District Food Handler Safety Training Card services available at Henderson City Hall

LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District will begin offering Food Handler Safety Training Card services to the public at Henderson City Hall, 240 Water Street, Henderson, NV 89105 on Wednesday, July 6, 2016. Services will be available Monday – Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
“We are pleased to be able to resume offering Food Handler Safety Training Cards at an accessible and convenient location for our clients,” said Dr. Joe Iser, Chief Health Officer for the Health District.
Food handler safety training cards are required for people employed in or operating a food establishment. Applicants must complete online food safety training prior to obtaining a card at the Health District. More information on the program and process is available on the Health District website.
The Health District will be announcing clinical service availability in the Henderson-area later this year. The agency’s Henderson Public Health Center was closed as the terms of its lease were due to expire on June 24, 2016. The Health District is in the process of pursuing partnership and location opportunities that will allow it to better meet the needs of its clients and make effective use of its personnel and resources.
