Southern Nevada Health District will begin accepting passport applications

LAS VEGAS – The Southern Nevada Health District is pleased to announce it will begin accepting passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018. United States citizens planning international travel can apply for their passports Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Health District’s main location at 280 S. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV, 89107. The Passport Office is co-located with the Birth and Death Certificate program.

“Over the years many of our clients have asked if we process passport applications while accessing our public health services,” said Dr. Iser, Chief Health Officer of the Southern Nevada Health District. “The addition of the passport program complements our existing birth certificate and travel vaccine services, and our main location is easily accessible to the public. We are pleased to be an additional resource for the community.”

The Health District will not take appointments for processing passport applications. Clients will be processed in the order they arrive and based on the completeness of their application. Applications can take approximately 15 minutes to complete and will be processed until 3:30 p.m.
