FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
July 14, 2020
Today, the Southern Nevada Health District reported 1,021 new cases of COVID-19. Daily case counts reflect the number of newly confirmed cases received from a variety of laboratory sources and do not reflect testing dates or symptom onset for cases.
The increase can be attributed to a marked increase in community testing that has resulted in thousands more electronic lab records being received by the Southern Nevada Public Health Laboratory as well as a technical issue that resulted in a delay in reporting of results by one laboratory. This issue has been resolved.
A Trends report that redistributes cases by symptom onset as case investigations are conducted is available at www.SNHD.info/covid.
