The Southern Nevada Health District is working with partners to make healthy food more accessible in our community. A $50 discount on the annual Farmers Market Event Coordinator Permit is available for markets that accept Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

Additionally, plan review fees will be waived for new Farmers Market Event Coordinator Permits that accept SNAP benefits.

The following conditions apply:

1. The market manager must operate a central terminal and accept SNAP benefits for at least 1 vendor that sells SNAP-eligible foods at the market.
2. The market manager agrees that SNHD may survey the market for compliance with these provisions.
3. If the market manager oversees multiple markets, each farmers market must meet the conditions stated above.
